The Miami Valley Garden Railway Society (MVGRS) is an associtation for those interested in garden railways whose purpose is to share information about garden railways and equipment and to have fun building and operating garden railoads and associated equipment. MVGRS functions include monthly meetings, a monthly newsletter, setting up layouts to promote garden railways, providing information and advice to other members, and maintaining worldwide contact with similar groups.

Dues are based on the calender year and are due in the month of January. Family memberships processed from January through October require the full amount of dues. Applications processed in November and December will be considered paid up for the following calender year.
Business memberships will be pro-rated on a semi-annual basis, and will be entilted to an ad in every other issue of the Newsletter.

The MVGRS Memorial

The MVGRS Memorial was designed and built from scratch by Art Gabele in 1997.
Art built the memorial to recognize members of the Miami Valley Garden Railway Society and the Greater Cincinnati Garden Railway Society who had passed away. The initials of the deceased member are added to the left side of the memorial for the Greater Cincinnati Garden Railway Society and to the right side for the Miami Valley Garden Railway Society.
In 2004, Art donated the memorial to the MVGRS. The memorial is included as part of each display the MVGRS presents.
