Resurrect your Railroad
Has it been many years since you have actually seen the track on your railroad or perhaps you just need a few pointers on what to do to get your railroad back up and running after the harsh Ohio winter.
Former MVGRS President
Jack Wilson has wrote a great article on how to
Resurrect your Railroad and bring it back to life.

LaMusga's Fun Run
Denny and Judy LaMusga are adding a new twist to their OPEN RAILROAD, they are going to allow MVGRS members to bring over their trains and run them on their Garden Northern Railroad.

July Bus Tour
4 CLUB BUS TOUR 2008
By Denny LaMusga
As you may remember, our Indianapolis bus tour is set for Saturday, July 12, 2008.
We will be departing (meeting the Lakefront bus) behind the gas station at the Meijer store at Route 48 and Route 70 in Clayton.
Please gather at 8:30 a.m. because we have a firm departure for 9:00 a.m. so that we can be on time for the lunch at 11:00 a.m. at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Nobelsville, Indiana.
Actually the lunch line opens at 11:15 a.m. and to remain on schedule, we need to “eat and run” as our bus is #1 and we will have to depart the church at 12:25 p.m. sharp.
Please bring along whatever refreshment you would like as small coolers are permitted on the bus. A snack will be provided and water will be available at each stop.
The lunch menu is unavailable at this writing but I am sure it will be a buffet or a box (sandwich, chips, water or soft drinks).
If you have specific dietary needs please let me know as soon as possible so I can work with Indianapolis.
Lavatory facilities at the RR’s may or may not be available, but the bus has one on board.
We currently have 45 people on the bus with a few more to come. Please, from this point on, call me at 937-429-2386 to inquire about seat availability, as I DO NOT want to overlook anyone as the airlines sometimes do.
Since the minimum for the bus cost was 36 people and we currently have 45 ++ going, there will be a refund due each person who wrote a check or paid cash.
This will be a cash refund so that last minute adjustments will be possible. I will have the money for each person’s group, family or friends in an envelope with the payee’s name on it. However, I am NOT responsible if a spouse or other family member grabs the cash! HA!
Also, just so you will know, I have been authorized by the MVGRS Board to hold back dollars for the bus driver’s lunch and/or dinner and his/her tip.
We should be back in Clayton about 7:30 p.m. or so, and in the past we have elected to come straight back without stopping for dinner on the way.
However, the majority will rule on the choice as to whether to stop or not, because most of you will be tired of me yackin’ on the PA system! HA!
We are going to visit five RR’s after lunch and we will have approximately 20-25 minutes at each.
The shortest trip between RR’s is 1 MINUTE and the longest is 33 minutes.
This trip is rain or shine, so please be aware of the weather and dress appropriately. We are going to have a good time as usual.
P.S. I am going to bring along several RR VHS tapes and DVD’s for entertainment as there will not be room on the bus for my karaoke equipment.
